MSFS - useful (useless to some) piece of information for builds

I have xBoxGamePass PC and have just installed the BASIC MSFS version (note BASIC).

I then went in game and downloaded ALL the FREE downloads available, including updates etc.

The total file size used is already a huge 321 GB having installed nearly 1/4 million files in over 10,000 folders and I assume as I start playing the game it will add to that more.

Thought those providing specs for people would want to know the GB used re disk sizes etc to recommend.

Looking at that a minimum of 1TB just for MSFS

I have a 475GB drive D with NOTHING IN IT.

My drives go up to N normally on the Berserker but can go up to about S

MSFS 2024 Optional & Default packages & Installation Size

MSFS 2020 had an installation size of about 120-150GB for the Standard Edition, with all the content provided since 2020 launch, Optional & Default packages for 2024 will be an interesting point, because the new sim base if included all previous content of 2020 as default (which is important)...
