Multiple device failures

My laptop is a 2014 build and I've started to get multiple devices playing up. I'm not expecting miracles and I'm still very happy with this laptop, but there are few things I can't seem to get working properly.

First off is the webcam. I can't find it in device manager so I'm unable to try to update drivers etc. I am unsure when this stopped working tbh.

Secondly, my WiFi adapter is only able to get me download speeds of approx 25Mbps when my mobile phone can get 65Mbps on the same network. The drivers are updated to current iteration.

Thirdly, the keyboard backlight only shows blue now. And I can't remember how to pull up the UI.

Any help on any of these issues would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

For the webcam: Check under device manager>View>show hidden devices, if there uninstall the devices & then scan for hardware changes.
Check for any camera key on the keyboard & see if this has been clicked which would disable the camera.
The wifi adapter may only be using 2.4Ghz band while the phone is using 5Ghz, the only way you’d fix this is to purchase a wifi dongle. Look under the wifi adapter’s properties & find duplex & change this to full & see if the speed increases.

Cheers for the reply bastet. I've checked the hidden devices and I don't see it there. Not sure what happened to it.

I've used a 5GHz dongle as well as without and I'm getting practically the same speed on both.

Anyway, I know it's a really old build. Thanks for your help.

For the webcam, there’s a shortcut on the function keys, make sure it’s not disabled.

for the WiFi, what are you using to measure speeds?

I take it you’ve updated to windows 10?

The Fn key works for volume etc but nothing happens when I use it with the webcam button, or for the backlit keyboard buttons. Using speedtest.net for the network speed and yes I updated to win10 when it first became available.

That suggests that Clevo Control Center (Hotkey) isn't installed?

If the camera is not enabled it does not appear in device manager.
Enable the camera by Fn+F10 or Fn+Esc for access to the camera in the Control centre.
To switch on the camera, go to the Start menu app list and use the camera app or send to the menu for future use.
