Will this take Windows 7 Ultimate as I do not like win 8

Just for gaming?home premium will take up to 16gb of memory,any reason you need ultimate?id also consider a slightly faster hard drive were I you.

The way I read it was the OP already has a copy of windows 7 ultimate and was asking if it will install ok.

yes have the os bought it about a year ago never installed still on xp,I have ssd for this already and faster hds,
This will replace my M1730 extreme.
reason I asked is I read somewhere Win 7 did not sapport Usb 3.

As far as I know there are no issues with USB 3.0, I constantly use mine without any problems. You may want to consider letting PCS know which OS you wish to have pre-installed, I believe the default is Windows 8 but you could try to request Windows 7 Ultimate instead. It might be possible, not sure, that you will just need to enter your key rather than doing a clean installation.
