Hi there was wondering if someone could have a look at this PC ive put together, the total cost for it is £1144.00.
Are there any improvements i can make to it while keeping it around the same price, or cheaper?
Also would like to know if this PC is going to be able to play new-ish games well.

Hiya, I've had a lookie and chopped and changed a few things round and I think this spec may suits your needs better:

Case
PCS MAELSTROM T900 BLACK GAMING CASE this will cool your PC better than the one you picked so you will have a happier machine, I'd actually go for a slightly better one than this as well if you can, but I'd say you want this one at the least
Processor (CPU)
Intel® Core™i5 Quad Core Processor i5-3570 (3.4GHz) 6MB Cache - you don't need the k variant of the CPU unless you are overclocking which is not necessary for most games
Motherboard
ASUS® P8Z77-V: PCI-E 3.0 READY, WIFI, SLI, CROSSFIREX
Memory (RAM)
8GB KINGSTON HYPER-X GENESIS DUAL-DDR3 1600MHz, X.M.P (2 x 4GB KIT) - unless overclocking you will not see any difference between the 1600 and 2400 MHz RAM
Graphics Card
2GB NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 670 - 2 DVI, HDMI, DP - 3D Vision Ready - this will be better for gaming, most games are GPU dependent rather than CPU
Memory - 1st Hard Disk
120GB KINGSTON HYPERX 3K SSD, SATA 6 Gb/s (upto 555MB/sR | 510MB/sW) - this and the Caviar Black is a better combination than the Velociraptor and cache drive in my eyes
2nd Hard Disk
1TB WD CAVIAR BLACK WD1002FAEX, SATA 6 Gb/s, 64MB CACHE (7200rpm)
1st DVD/BLU-RAY Drive
24x DUAL LAYER DVD WRITER ±R/±RW/RAM
Power Supply
CORSAIR 650W ENTHUSIAST SERIES™ TX650 V2-80 PLUS® BRONZE (£69)
Processor Cooling
Super Quiet 22dBA Triple Copper Heatpipe Intel CPU Cooler (£19) - unless overclocking watercooling is just not needed
Sound Card
ONBOARD 6 CHANNEL (5.1) HIGH DEF AUDIO (AS STANDARD)
Network Facilities
10/100/1000 GIGABIT LAN PORT - AS STANDARD ON ALL PCs
USB Options
6 x USB 2.0 PORTS @ BACK PANEL (MIN 2 FRONT PORTS) AS STANDARD
Firewire
3 Port IEEE 1394a Firewire PCI Card (£9) - do you need this?
Operating System
Genuine Windows 8 Standard Edition 64 Bit - inc DVD & Licence (£79)
Office Software
FREE 60 Day Trial of Microsoft® Office® 2010 Professional Edition
Anti-Virus
BULLGUARD INTERNET SECURITY - FREE 90 DAY TRIAL
Keyboard & Mouse
LOGITECH® MK260 WIRELESS KEYBOARD & MOUSE COMBO (£22)
Warranty
3 Year Silver Warranty (1 Year Collect & Return, 1 Year Parts, 3 Year Labour) (£5)
Delivery

Thanks for the help, should i now select a RAID as i have 2 hard drives?
Nope, RAIDing is for either speeding up hard drives (not needed for an SSD anyway) or mirroring for backups - and if you are doing either both drives need to be the same size at any rate, so you couldn't do it here anyway.

You do not need to RAID to have multiple hard drives (which I presume is what you were thinking).

great thanks. So this should be able to play games like Max payne, battlefield 3 and skrim etc.?

and yeah i assumed that RAIDing would increase performance when u have 2 hard drives lol
