My friend is offering to sell me this PC...

Hello everyone!

A friend of mine is into PC gaming, and built a PC.
Because I'd previously asked him about building my own PC for gaming, today he messaged me asking if I wanted to buy his.

These are the specs he's given me:

GeForce GTX 1080 AMP edition
Core i7 4.2GHz
16GB ram
SSD Drive 256GB
Dell S271DG monitor
Fresh Windows 10 installation

I trust him and I certainly don't think he's trying to rip me off. He wants to sell it because he'll be leaving the country soon.

What price would you expect this to go for?

Of course it's all second hand. I'm not sure how old but I'm thinking about 4 years.
Also he's a very clean and careful person and he says he's taken good care of everything.

I hope I've provided enough information.

Thanks for your help!

These forums are for PCSpecialist builds only so we can't give advice on builds from others.
Saying that, if he's a friend why are you 'thinking it's 4 years old'? Won't he tell you how old it is? The 1080 has only been out 3 years (ish) so it isn't older than that.
Second hand PCs devalue very quickly - a 3 year old PC will be worth less than half of an equivalent new one. You might want to spec one using PCS configure and compare prices.

Oh, I see what you mean.
I haven't asked him the price yet, I only just thought about it as I was typing

Thanks for your help, sorry for wasting your time

You're not wasting anyone's time, it's just that since PCS pay for these fora it would be wrong for us to offer advice on other builds here. TBH any PC is only worth what you are prepared to pay for it. Ask your friend what he wants for it, then offer half that and work up from there.

The following video is a test, please ignore...
