My Laptop is closing by it self for no reason. Please Help

I got my uncle's old laptop and this month is started closing by it self for no reason. It only closes when it's charging and I have it open and before it closes I can't use the laptop's keyboard but I can use the mouse perfectly, that's how I understand it will basically close. The battery sucks so I have to have it charging most of the time so I can't really use my laptop that much. Also, when I check it out if that's happening due to overheating it's not that hot so I can't find the problem. Any help?

However, to be sure it's not overheating measure the temperatures accurately with something like HWMonitor. It's also worth opening it up and giving it a good clean inside. Pay particular attention to the fan(s) and the finned heat exchangers right next to them. This is where all the cooling is done and you need a good airflow through there.
