Mainly developing, photo&video editing, some gaming ... usual stuff :)

I'm worried about the wireless card, though. Should I get the Killer? I saw that it's dual band but the bandwidth is not as good as the AC7260.

What is the bandwidth on the ac7260, cant seem to find it, it wont really be affected unless you have really good broadband

it should be 800Mbs more or less. but what concerns me is the Gigabit lan & killer™ 1202 wireless gaming 802.11n + bluetooth 4.0. does it work at 5ghz?

I would go with the killer wifi. I have it and it works brilliant. Do you have AC wirelesss anyway? If not then it's pointless getting the AC wifi card.

I would change the HDD to the WD scorpio black, since it runs faster. Also, do you need 16GB of RAM? If it's for editing then fair enough, otherwise I'd drop it down to 8GB.

I'll use an SSD, the difference between 5400 and 7200 rpm ... is not worth the money. I'll get the the smaller one since I'm on a budget and I rather have the good CPU and ram. You can always easily change the HDD. 16 GB are the minimum for me. I would go for 32 if I could to be honest. Other than video and photo editing, I have to develop on this machine and I need the ram. I'll also pair it with a 24-27 in screen :)

regarding the wifi ... I think I'll opt for the AC7260. Still not sure. my router is AC btw. but now it's running at 2.4ghz.

7200rpm drives are standard in desktops, the only reason they're not in laptops is because of the form factor. I would seriously consider it if you can afford it, especially if you keep any of the stuff you edit on there.

Actually I have one already in my current laptop. But I'll wait and go for a big SSD
