What sort of money are you looking to spend on one? I can first hand recommend the R6 very highly, if you were willing to drop the BD-Rom you could go for the Define-S which is very similar and less expensive.

The button to turn on the computer has been wonky for about a year and a half. But lastnight my computer wasmt working properly. Taking longer to log in and no icons were working or loading. I had done a clean the previous day amd the computer was working fine after that but lastnight it was just unresponsive. So I opened up the case to see if everything was connected fine. Everything was connected but the comouter wouldnt turn on so I open the front amd seen that the wire connected the power button to the comouter had been pulled in half.

The power switch could likely be repaired/replaced quite easily.

You could even MacGyver one if you fancied it.

I wouldnt be the most knowledgable about building computers. I am trying to learn more. Is ebay the best place to look for spare parts?

They might be more likely to sell a replacement entire front panel, or something (not just the wiring), but probably still cheaper than buying a new case and less hassle than having to rebuild the whole PC into a new case. You'd just pop the panel off, disconnect the cables, and replace with a new one.

You can also check places like ebay for spares.

Often case makers only sell parts in 1 country, and the shipping is expensive, so ebay sellers buy up a load and sell them for a markup locally - but still cheaper than buying from the case maker directly and having to pay shipping. Worth looking into anyway.

Yes.

But if you are not confident around computers you may seriously wish to consider getting spare parts rather than a new case.

A new case will involve having to rebuild almost the entire PC...

Plus, the power button broken on a case would not cause the issues you’re describing, there’s absolutely no link.

There is a 2nd hand Zalman Z11 Plus on ebay for £20 apparently. I've not looked at the listing, but assuming it's not faulty / it still has the parts you need you could potentially get that and strip it.

I think the front panel is removable and this is where the power button lives. I've never seen one in the flesh so can't say for sure, this is just by looking at articles stripping the chassis down. So check you can actually remove the parts you need to replace before buying anything :)

And as above, it might not be the end of your problems...
