Need advice on first gaming PC

Hi,

I basically want a PC that I can easily upgrade in the future if I wish to. I only really play Football Manager and my partner plays Sims. Ideally we would like to play on the highest settings. I’m content with having average CPU, average GPU etc as long as it can handle the above games and as long as I can upgrade the CPU and GPU without any problems. I’ve been told with desktop PC, you can always upgrade in the future, but is this limited to certain cases/chassis? I hope somebody can help me.

So as an example, this would more than likely give a good upgrade path with upcoming Zen 2 processors using the same socket:

Both games are mainly CPU based, so it's worth waiting for someone else to confirm as you may not require such a mid range GPU.

I intend to buy the PC from here or from Very catalogue.
We can't comment on other companies' PCs from Very, but what I would say is that buying a PC Specialist spec direct from PCS is often cheaper than buying it from a reseller.

The spec above looks solid.

I's not sure I'd bother with the after-market cooler. the R5 2600x comes with a decent cooler.

Motherboard
ASUS® ROG STRIX X470-F GAMING (DDR4, USB 3.1, 6Gb/s) - RGB Ready!
This motherboard is over £75 more than the Gigabyte Ultra Gaming. Unless there's a very specific reason to get it (not sure what that might be), stick to the Gigabyte Ultra Gaming I'd say. :)

And PCS's after-sales service is likely to be faster and better too. :)
