As the title says I am currently looking for a 1440p 144hz monitor with an IPS panel to go with my upcoming rtx 3060Ti + Ryzen 5 5600x build. Currently I have the BenQ EX2780Q in my sights. If anyone has any better alternatives I would greatly appreciate suggestions. My budget is around £350 and I will be using the PC/Monitor for gaming/3D modelling.

Thank you! :)

Hey again!

1440p 144hz is a fantastic sweet spot for gaming so good choice! There is a monitor guide that might be worth a look to see if there's any options on there that might fit your requirements : https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/forums/threads/monitor-recommendations-work-in-progress.71662/

I'm aware this is a conversation that went on recently with the amazing @Rakk in this thread https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/forums/threads/rakk-needs-a-new-monitor.78843/ . I believe he ended up with an ASUS TUF 1440p 144hz IPS monitor, although from memory it was closer to £450 than £350, but would be good to know how he's getting on with it anyway.

Seperate from threads, there's a few suggestions I could make. These 3 suggestions are sadly all VA panels and not IPS panels but from reviews and other forum users, they still seem like great monitors and all can be found for £300 or less online

1) Samsung G5. It's a forum favourite and loved by many I know @Martinr36 has one and loves it!
2) AOC CQ27G2U. If you're impartial to a bit of red, the AOC seems like a great monitor and is beaten by the G5 in an RTings article: https://www.rtings.com/monitor/tools/compare/aoc-cq27g2-vs-samsung-odyssey-g5/14542/17883
3) AOC Q27G2U. If you'd prefer a flat panel AOC do a version of the CQ27G2U that isn't curved called the Q27G2U

Edit* The AOC beats the G5 in the RTings article, not the other way round 😂

Hello again! :D

Thank you for once again being very helpful :) The AOC Q27G2U seems very good and for a great price too! I checked that rtings link and was confused by what you said until I saw your edit xD. Also the fact that it beats the G5 in areas and comes flat (I prefer flat over curved) seems like a really good monitor for me :)

For £300 you can get the Samsung G5 which is your best bet. You'll be looking around the £450 mark for an IPS monitor at 1440p/144hz :)

The BenQ EX2780Q which I have been thinking of getting is £370, so for around that price there is no competition for 1440p/144Hz IPS?

After having a look around I've managed to find 2 more (1440 144hz IPS) monitors at around your price point. The Acer XV272U Pbmiiprzx (£335) and the ViewSonic VX2758-2KP-MHD (£343). From the customer reviews I've read they seem like good monitors. As they're from compeitor sites I can't link them here and they're only on one site each unless you want to buy from the States, so may require some searching I'm afraid.

I went for the LG 27GL850 (IPS), but I managed to get it for £350 from Curry’s on Black Friday.

The cheapest I can see it for now is £380, but you’ll have to google for the site.
Thanks for the suggestions guys :) after looking around at all my options around £350 I have decided to go for either the Dell S2721DGF/A or LG 27GL850! Going to wait until Easter to see if either goes on sale and whichever is cheaper I’ll get! :D
