Need help to build laptop ideal for gaming/photo editing

Hi guys,

I'm looking to buy a gaming laptop - my top price would be €1600.

Gaming wise, I mainly play the Sims 4, and would like to be able to play rpgs too. Not worried about having ultra graphics, but do like them high. I also want a machine that will be good for photo editing - I do photography with a DSLR and use RAW files and would be ecstatic to have a machine that wouldn't lag when working on every single photo. I also want a minimum of 2TB storage.

I was looking at the Proteus VII but noticed that it only had an integrated Micro-SD memory card reader, and that other models around that price range were similar. Since I transfer my photos on the normal SD card, I'd need something to fit that.

I'd really appreciate any advice on the spec I'd need, or model suggestions.

Thank you in advance for any help!

@SpyderTracks Could you offer an opinion here please as I'm not sure if the Optimus Pro is the best platform to build on.

For the budget and to fit the criteria, @Nursemorph build is great. i Don’t think you’d be able to squeeze in a more premium chassis at this budget.

@SpyderTracks Thank you.....the chassis was the only part I was unsure of..glad I picked right :) Now we find out the OP actually wants a 15" screen and need to start again :ROFLMAO:

@Woolflock If you use the spec above and go via the link at the bottom, just remember to change the delivery country (I am guessing you live in Europe or Ireland given your use of Euros rather than pounds?) as it's currently set for UK
