Hi there. Can I ask a couple of questions to get a handle on things?

What's your budget?

Uses for the system, gaming, streaming, editing, design etc?

What monitor will you be using with the build? Make and model or resolution and refresh rate would be handy to know 👍

Also, please could you edit your post to include the configurable URL? Helps others suggest changes without having to go through the whole build process. Ta!

Sure thing mate.

My budget is £2000

main uses for the system will be gaming and streaming.

the monitor I have at the moment is very basic and standard one which is HP 1080p 60hz. but once I have my PC I will be getting LG UltraGear 1440p 144hz, the model number is 27GL850-B

I have put the configurable URL in the original post.

thank you.

Nice one, thanks for doing that 🙂

Right, you’ve got yourself a pretty solid build there! Nothing actually needs changing, but I’ve a couple of basic suggestions. The extra exhaust fan at the back will be a bit cheap and noisy, I’d personally buy and fit my own later. The AX200 WiFi card is faster and has built in Bluetooth, that’s a worthwhile investment. And the silver warranty for an extra fiver just makes good sense. It’s one of those things you hope you’ll never need to use but better safe than sorry 😀

yup got it, thank you very much for your help mate.

I don't know if you'd happen to know about this or not but the case I have on my quote is no longer an option on PCspecialist website so if I want to change anything in that quote I can't have the same case as its not there anymore. so is there any way around that?

thank you

They must’ve had a run of people choosing the iCue 465X so it’s temporarily out of stock. It’ll probably come back in relatively soon and your system is likely to be in pre-production for a while so you could potentially order now with a random case as a placeholder. Then you’d just need to keep checking the site regularly and when it’s back on the site, log into your account and swap the 465X in 👍

If you can get that case elsewhere you can get it sent to pc specialist to put your build in

Or do what @AgentCooper suggested

oh okay thats fine then. ill just save the quote with random case for now and keep checking it.

Also I was thinking of changing the ram to 32GB Corsair VENGEANCE RGB PRO DDR4 3400MHz (2 x 16GB) would this be a wise choice?

You could get the RBG RAM if you want the sparkly goodness (I did 😆) but for your uses it’s not worth getting more than 16GB, it just won’t be used. The only games that might take advantage of 32GB would be flight simulators.

haha thanks, (yes I do want the sparkly goodness 🙈😂) okay then I will swap that out for the 16GB (2 x 8GB) and would 3400MHz make much of difference compared to 3600MHz?

If you started getting into video editing and audio production you’d see more of a difference. For us gamers, not so much 😜

ah right okay. I will be doing video editing but it won't be extreme ones just gaming videos and trying to become YouTuber/Streamer. but ill give the benefit of doubt and get 3400MHz and hopefully it'll be alright.

You’ll be fine with the RGB RAM 👍
