Need some help to buy a new gaming laptop

Mate, is not ok to do things like this ... as a company. The value for money is not unparalleled .. as you do not know what components PCS are using.. where are they made and stuff.. A MSI gaming laptop with a better GPU RTX 2080 Q is with 300£ more...

I cancelled and then they told me they have it and i reinstated the order ... 2 more weeks have passed lol :))

I am 1 month and 2 weeks in and i still did not receive it ... also the price for the laptop on PCS side went down loool... i didnt even receive it and they already sell it cheaper...
I do part agree with you.
I think PCS has a good price and they seem to be a good company that is trying their best to satisfy the customer. By far, even before I do the order, the PCS support through email, was the best customer service experience I had. Besides their forum that is a great platform to talk, discuss and help each other.
I have also done the order for a Vyper, and I am looking so much forward to have it in hands. But there is no way around, we are living troubled times, so they must be veryyyy busy with everything.
And I also realized the same thing about the price drop, it happened 2 days after I've done the order. Got quite sad. Would be nice with they could give sort of a discount.

Yeah i do agree - their support is great... Dont get me wrong - they are great in supporting and actually speaking with customers... This is something i never experienced at any company - they do give their best and are very helpful. But in terms of delivery and pricing ... is bad ... is really bad as customer to see the laptop is loosing value while your order is still in progress for 30 days... is not a few days... When it was not in stock the price was 1815£ ... now when is in stock is 1792£...

You're being rather disingenuous there, price variability is something that happens all the time. Component prices change, availability changes, etc. The PCS advantage is that they will pass price reductions on to the customer rather than build in a margin on price to cater for these things. It works the other way round too, and a build ordered at a price will be built for that price even if component prices subsequently rise.

In any case, any product is only ever worth what someone will pay for it, so if a build price of £1815 was acceptable to you at the time of purchase then it's immaterial that it's now available for £1792. Had you waited when it was £1815 you may equally well have found that it had gone up to £1838, in which case you'd be saying what a great price PCS were offering.

I don't know what you mean by this? You know exactly what parts PCS are using and where they are made, what makes you say you don't? That's just false.

If you find the MSI value for money then get that, people go to PCS for quality parts along with quality support.

You were willing to pay it at 1815 so I don’t get your point. if the parts price drops and pcs forwards that to consumers it’s a good thing as spydertracks pointed out.
Why you find that a problem I don’t know.

Mate is not about money is about a principle - the laptop is still in building, i did the payment on 3 of April... PCS received the money on 4th of April and now are on 11 of May....Is one thing to order something and get it and then the price drops... but when the product is still in building and the price drops ... I guess is just me - the long wait time and frustration ... lockdown and stuff ...

I sympathise with your frustration over the wait time. I had a similarly long delay due to stocks running out 3 times and this was when before covid.
Not much I can do now other than wait for my laptop to be fixed, I’ve gotten it RMA’d twice in the past month or so. Hope they have good quality control this time round

I was referring to the GPU and motherboard - like who are the producers/vendors ?... For the rest is perfect ! As i said - their support is top - over the standard and normal expectations, by a lot. Very helpful and fast. No complains about that - no complains about the item either as i did not receive it yet.

... i think is just the waiting time and frustration ... i should go get a snickers and complain less ..

When you pay for something, you effectively sign a contract, that’s what a receipt is. Look, I’m not saying the delay is warranted, but your attitude is unhelpful, and some of your claims are just outright false.

And the motherboard and GPU is made by the chassis vendor which is quoted on the bottom of the quote with make and model number.

Sorry if i came across rude and unhelpful ... was not my intention .. i believe i was not supposed to start all this conversation in the first place .. I know that you sign a contract - i am just saying it feels bad man, to see that new orders are cheaper and mine is not even in testing or so... if you can get my point is fine if not... then i am sorry ..

P.S. I did a check on invoice and order and i cannot see the manufacturer ... maybe i dont see it ..

Thank you for your help (not sarcastic - you did help me when i bought it, i remember that).
