Hi, just wondering if this build is good in terms of price/performance.

Also wondering if I can connect 3 displays to GF4090.

Thanks:)

Hi, I have read some posts on the forum and I would like to add some more information to my post.

I wish to use a PC for gaming, mostly for racing games (also COD and Baldurs Gate 3) on 3 QHD monitors. I can't find information if 4090 can have 3 QHD displays connected.
I am wondering if the GPU, processor, and motherboard are fine and they are not overkill. Also wondering if the cooling is ok.

I will be doing also photogrammetry projects but not that big that I would need an i9 (I think).

Appreciate any advice.

Thanks.

You haven’t said what refresh rate or make and model the monitors are?

This is about a s good a gaming PC as you can buy right now, and would be good for 3x1440p 144Hz: the 4090 is definitely capable of that. I'm not sure about the photogrammetry: it's not a use I'm familiar with. If you'll be doing a lot and it's CPU intensive (as I guess it is) you could upgrade to the 7950X3D and still come in below the cost of the system you have above.

I've removed some of the purely aesthetic bells and whistles (the specific cooler, the cable extensions) as they add nothing to performance, but by all means add them back if you're willing to spend money purely on your system's looks!

Thanks so much sck451, I appreciate your input.

I am thinking about 7950x3d 16 core and motherboard upgrade to Aorus Z790 Master.

Cheers.

That motherboard is not compatible. The equivalent would be an X670E motherboard, the Tuf, the Strix or the Aorus. Any would be more than sufficient.

Thanks, I am reading about all of these motherboards right now, just learning cause my knowledge in this area is a bit basic.
So any of X670E you've mentioned should be fine for me? I don't need advanced audio features I guess cause I don't use 5.1.
I have noticed that x670 aorus uses hdmi 2.0 and not hdmi 2.1 but I don't know if this is disanvantage, I will be using ports on video card right?

Is
64GB Corsair VENGEANCE DDR5 6000MHz (2 x 32GB)
compatible with
GIGABYTE X670 AORUS ELITE AX (AM5, DDR5, PCIe 4.0, Wi-Fi 6E) ?

I read on benchmarks that it can support up to 5600MHZ.
Pardon if these are an obvious questions ;)

Any of the X670E boards I mentioned will be ample. As in, overkill. The differences between X670E and B650 are significant only in certain situations, which don't come up in a gaming PC. I would get the B650 board. But if you want massive quantities of PCIe and USB, any of those X670E boards will be fine.

As you say, you will use the video outputs on your graphics card, not the motherboard. (The iGPU on a Ryzen chip isn't capable of doing anything that needs HDMI 2.1!)

And yes, that RAM will be fine. Technically 6000MHz is overclocking, but really it's the expected behaviour/use of that memory.
