Ive ordered a ML120 Pro from corsair to go in as a rear extraction in the 500D SE when my PC turns up.
Im under the impression I will just need to attach it to the case and plug the fan into the controller unit inside?

....Well, hit a massive bump in the road...
I would have had to pay full price for the case upgrade, due to how the build was switched over from intel to amd, they have no way of generating the £100 extra I have paid...so only option was to cancel and put through again.

Ive reapplied, finance now says referred... so no idea what will happen, possibly no new pc at all.
Good news is if it does go through, its gonna cost me less overal and i now get the two free games... and they promised me they will keep my place in the queue where ive lost two weeks chasing whats going on.

Fingers crossed Hitachi see the finance agreement was cancelled and this is replacing it, and the same amount.

So it all went through OK, and PCS kept my place in the queue due to cicumstance.
Having to place it as a new order has also meant I saved a little, putting the XT in budget.
It went into building this morning.

Quick question and didn't feel the need for a whole new thread. The LED strips for purchase, how do they work?? Will they automatically come on when the cpu is powered on or do you manually have to put them on and where are the housed as in are they run around the inside or outside of the case. Sorry if this sounds a silly question.

@ASHENTI In case you don't notice/realise, I edited the post above to include a review that has pictures of a system with one of the LED strips in

One more question Nurse. I have ordered the ASUS TUF Gaming B550-Plus motherboard with the Ryzen 5 3600XT. For an extra £33 would I be better with the ASUS TUF X570-PLUS Gaming? Would the X570-Plus give any advantages/upgrade-ability??

It nets you better VRM capacity. It won't offer anything for the 3600XT but if you were opting for a high end CPU next it would be worthwhile.

I would pay for it if it were me, I wouldn't be dropping anything else to cover it though.

Cheers Scott. For the sake of £33 I think it's a no brainer. The problem with waiting on the build date to arrive is all the upgrades. I'm about £150 over budget. Wednesday can't come quick enough!!

Ive got confirmation that the 2070 Super in use mostly atm is the 2070 Super Zotac Mini (ZT-T20710E-10M) and this is what has gone into my build.

Its a dual fan, but compact design... I think it should be fine for now, I plan on upgrading the GPU in about a year or two once the new ones have come down in price, firecuda M.2 as well... but gonna save up for those I think and not rush it.

Still stuck in testing, been 30 hours or so...should I be worried something is wrong and its going to delay it?
Really hoping it dispatches tomorrow, paid for sat delivery after it was still in testing today rather than moved to dispatch.

You would need to call. I think 30 hours may suggest they have found something and it's needed a replacement/re-test but can't be sure.

Still in testing which means over the 40hr mark...so something must have happened.
I paid for sat delivery, will try calling them when they open to see whats happening, I hope its not going to delay it further... I got back to work on wed next week I hoped to be able to sit down and get it all set up before then and try it out.

Any luck and its sorted and will go to awaiting dispatch this morning.

I don't think you can necessarily assume that something must have happened. I would think that they only have a limited number of test positions and once your PC moves out of build it will show as 'testing'. That might not mean it's being tested immediately it left build. There might be a queue, especially if one or two others needed retesting or more extensive testing. And even if something was found you'll be glad that PCS caught it before you did. :)

It has a tester assigned and date, not just teh in testing status, so been like that for 40 odd hours... gonna call when they open at 9 and hope i get through. Obviously i'd rather it was all correct when it arrived instead of a RMA to fix issues, i'm just at a full month waiting now and really hoped to have it by the weekend, especially now work is starting up again next week.
