New Computer won't switch on after 1 day

I got my new computer yesterday but it lasted 1 day before it wouldn't switch on. Had a slight puff of smoke coming around the F Panel/24 pin ish on a 490-I motherboard. LED on gcard and motherboard is there so there is power, but I press the power button and nothing happens. The LEDs on the I/O don't show up, and the connectors on the f panel are a little wobbly. Not sure whether I need the I/O replaced or the dreaded motherboard...... Any other tests anyone can think of would be much appreciated. Would rather not send back to pc specialist if I can narrow down the issue myself, otherwise I might have to wait forever for it to be looked at 😥

Any smoke is a catastrophic sign to be honest. PCs don't smoke with even minor problems. It's definitely time to send it back to PCS.

I agree that sounds catastrophic. Definitely leave it unplugged and off and call PCS. I would strongly recommend that you RMA it, with electrical faults like that you want the experts looking at it.

Could of been the PSU, in the 280x case there is a hole right next to the 24pin, so could have creeped through there. New one being shipped out Monday, fingers crossed!
