What's your max budget including monitor?

If just gaming, what kinds of games? If other uses, what software are you using?

Its for my son's birthday gift. He wants to play fork knife and battlefield.

Budget not really a concern as long as it is speedy.

I'll be using it for video editing. Mostly using Adobe premiere.

The monitor has just been ordered as a spare for his old computer.

I think I could have probably got a better deal but I have gone about this all backwards. And it is infact now in testing!

I'm sure it's going to be okay for what I want though...... Yolo

As for jerking people around, it's online retail, you're entitled to cancel the order and this happens all the time. If you and the person you're buying the PC for can get better for the money, I reckon you should.

PCS are happy to run these forums where customers advise other customers to "cancel the order and buy X instead" all the time, so I assume they're happy with the practice. After all, assuming the advice is sound, it's in their interests for people spending thousands of £ to get the best bang for buck so they buy their next PC here too.

Any savings the above offer versus the original spec should be considered futureproofing and set aside towards future GPU / monitor / peripheral / other upgrades

PCS build thousands upon thousands of these things. While I'm sure they care about their work, I don't think they care about individual orders getting cancelled and different orders getting placed. Nobody will take offence, that's for sure.

*minor edit to the spec, putting it back to 32gb RAM. I'd accidentally put 16gb. 16gb is more than fine for gaming, but for video editing in Premiere there is a case for 32gb. Post edited.
