New Gamer! Need Help!

Hi there, I am new to gaming and working to save up for a decent setup, however I have very limited knowledge of what specs I should be getting. I have a budget of around £700, but obvs can work to save more if needed. I would really appreciate any help and advice as I want to make sure I am getting the right setup

We would need your maximum budget, and what monitor it's pairing with (resolution and refresh rate or make and model)?

Hi so I am wanting to get myself my first gaming PC with a budget of around £1000 (can be slightly higher). I would want to use the PC for games such as sims, GTA, COD etc, plus also using it for uni work. I have no knowledge of PC specs however my cousin told me that building my own PC would be the best choice for money and eventual upgrades in the future.

This is about as low as I would recommend from PCS to get a decent gaming experience. Looking at another £150 for a monitor to go alongside. You might get a cheaper deal going down the self build route, so best of luck on Tom's Hardware if that's the path you want to take.
