Hi i am hoping someone can help or give advise.

I have an Acer Nitro at the moment which is the follow specification:

Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-9300H CPU @ 2.40GHz 2.40 GHz
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650
32GB Ram ( Upgraded )
2 TB ( Upgraded )

I am not going to lie, it's old and starting to stuggle with gaming and with me doing my masters degree on it.
I tend to have many things running at onces and also am now stuggling with games. I am avid Sims 4 player with all the packs and would play soo much more other big titles but can't as my machine just isnt coping.
This is vital for my new machine hence i am looking for more a gaming laptop then an everyday laptop.
Also my acer sounds like a Jet engine in take off mode with the fan as the cooling side isnt the best.
It's done me well for being over 7 years old!

I tend to work on a workdesk with i have 3 screen on a docking station ( yes I need 3 screen for some of the stuff i get up too ) however i do have moments where i am happy to be sat on the sofa with my laptop working away. It never leaves the house. The ability to be able to go around the house is important for me.

I am now in a good place to be able to by a new machine - YAY! Also able to spend a small fortune to obtain what i would like...

I would like a 16" as i feel going to a 18" would just be too big ...

I like technology and tend to read and try and keep up with what is going on but it can be a bit of mind field.

I am aware of the whole intel 13th and 14th Generation have a bad rep at the moment however i seem to be drawn to the Ultra 9 laptops.
I am open minded to an AMD on suggestions but that's purely i never had one.
I am also thinking that 32GB RAM and 2 TB hard drive is a must though happy to go more if worth the pennies and enhances performance.
The 12GB NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti seems to be also something i like but compared to my current one anything will be better! :D

The biggest issue is regarding overheating, as currently you could cook an egg on my current one and i don't want to go over kill on a laptop however i do want to have a slightly better one then average for future prooffing.

On the PC Speaclist i have been looking at the 16" Recoil but i am worried i have to have the cooling system to get the laptop other wise it's just going to over heat.

I am have around 2k to spend but happy to go higher if required but same time i don't go super high if i can get something that could be just as good but slightly older then the super new items.

I am completely open to suggestions and just wanted to see what other might suggest or think to help me come to a decision which is logical and most for my equipment.

Thank you for your help and reading :)

I don't want to skip over @Tron1982, but I'd like to make a suggestion for your new £2000 gaming laptop.
I would also avoid Intel's 15th generation; AMD is a better value and uses less power, resulting in less heat.

N.B. If you can transfer your current OS license, you'll save £110.

Hi !
I'm so sorry, I had a rough week (too much project meetings) ...
So, what @Ekans2011 proposed is really good. He just forgot to add your docking hub, so you be careful to add it when you'll make your order.
I absolutely agree on the golden warranty that is a must have for laptops in my opinion.
He added a 1To ssd as primary drive (for the os, your software and your most played game and the second one is for storage - nowadays it is considered as the good practice)

So, yeah, sorry, I was late, but @Ekans2011 proposed you what I would have proposed as well ^^"

Totally missed that :ROFLMAO:

Anyway, I'd recommend that the OP get something trustworthy, such as UGreen, rather than an unknown PCS-branded one. ;)
UGreen really are good, I just picked up one of their docks, it was a lot cheaper than competitors but doesn’t at all sacrifice on quality, if anything I’d say it was better (uses metals rather than plastics)

I got an SSD M.2 NVMe enclosure a couple of months ago for a little more than 20€, and it's perfect: Alluminium-made with thermal pad included. (y)

Yeah, my dock includes a good quality thermal pad for the M2 to dissipate through the aluminium chassis.

Unusial to find this level of quality at the pricepoint.

Bit UGreen have always been a disruptor since they first got the market.
