Hi new customer/member here.

Why was my post deleted when i was replying about my RTX strix on my order? I spend £4000 with PCS just to have my comment deleted? The reply said
that i gave up on my Strix version of the 3080 today and made the switch to a "standard" 3080 and that i would save a additional £500 for a 3090 upgrade.

Then deleted?

At this time particular models have completely different delay periods so it does make an impact on the thread if you’re mentioning a different model.

Harsh is not the word i would use and if i didnt already understand a position a mod was in then i would most likely take offence to this mainly due to the lack of comms from the PCS Staff or no self service stock checking leaving this forum as our only point of reference.

Looking in from the outside and without creating this thread it would seem like im being silenced for speaking out about my decision that costs PCS money.

The comment on the reason for removal would tell you that wasn't the case.

You're absolutely welcome to post again in the 3080 strix thread.

I think you're overreacting somewhat here. Your post seems to have been in the wrong thread, and in a thread that is very active on one specific topic.

One thing we have to be careful of in active threads like that is thread drift. It's very easy to get completely sidetracked by a post that doesn't belong. We know that this causes a lot of upset in the many users who are sharing information via that thread.

Most new users who post in the wrong thread, and you're not the only one, say "oh sorry, where should I have posted?".

not here to argue but i noticed it was a lesser active thread than most hence my reply. Today someone posted there for the first time in over a month and they directly asked about the Strix card not a specific model number. This proves im not the one over reacting here.

what your saying is this all could have simply been avoided by not mentioning a model number like the other guy did

That would have been a bit pointless given the fact that you wanted to know about the 3080 Strix.

Basically, all this comes down to is taking the reason for deletion of your comment of "not related to thread" as us trying to silence you for bad mouthing PCS. A very quick read over your comment and the thread title would have immediately shown that that comment was accurate.

End of.

That was explained in Post Number 2.

The rest, especially post number 11 is verging on trolling.
