New Laptop - Shame about dead pixel!

Picked this up yesterday after ordering it on Sunday. Its a very nice laptop and i'm loving the illuminated keyboard.

Compared to my old laptop this one seems sluggish when loading things up on windows, I would have thought it would have been a lot quicker. Below is the spec for my new laptop and below that my old laptop.

Feels so much more solid than my ASUS which is the old laptop, only had it 3 months but don't like it, had a custom build laptop from here 4 years ago but kept crashing ever since I got it, due to a bad graphics card which was changed but it still was crashing, anyway the power jack came loose and I could not solder it in place properly so decided to just leave it.

It also doesn't really say what your spec is anyway. For example for your CPU it just says Intel Core i3/i5/i7 4xxx @ 3.00GHz: 52 °C. That doesn't tell us what your CPU is.

No I didn't, i'll post full spec now, that spec was just off the speccy program

Seems a bizarre and imbalanced choice of laptop spec. Top of the range 980m GPU but only a dual core CPU and only 4G of RAM and a slow hard drive? Have you got a load of your stuff you're going to add into the laptop??

Speccy said the ram was only at 800 Mhz. You might want to check that.

I'm also going to add an 8gb RAM into it from my old laptop.

I was ****ed when I ordered it, didn't even remember seeing the quad core CPU, so I went for the top Dual Core, oops!!!

Morale of the story don't order custom laptops when ****ed!!!

I think the quad core i7-4710mq is cheaper as well.

Best make sure the RAM is DDR3L @ 1.35v and not DDR3 @ 1.5v.

Laptop may run with 1.5v DDR3, however not recommended for an extended period.
