Finally had the money to splurge on a new laptop to upgrade from my old 6th gen i5 and gtx 1050ti.
Gone for the below. Had to make some sacrifices. Waiting very patiently for the order.... o_O

Anyone got a similar spec? Any advice or reviews?

feel like I sold it short a bit there, do all sorts on my laptops and due to 3 kids and small house a laptop Is the only option for me. So it has to be a bit of an all rounder.

You can reduce to 16Gb RAM as no more will be used for gaming, and up it to 2666mhz, that will make a much better improvement to performance.

Any reason you chose pro windows? It’s not like on previous versions where it gave loads of useful features, it’s literally just tools for joining a domain.

I would try and push for the 1660, the first bottleneck is going to be the gpu and with that gpu you’re already struggling to push 1080p 144hz

Thanks for the sound advice, not an expert on these things. Have taken your advice to move to standard windows 10 and the 16gb (2 x8gb) 2666mhz ram. Unfortunately I can’t have a 1660 on my selection, and couldn’t afford the extra for a 2060. But thank you for the advice.

What’s your max budget cos you may be better off in another chassis?

You'd have to cancel the order and start over which I would recommend because that laptop is going to be obsolete fairly quickly

The caveat with that proposal is that it's only got a primary drive, but once you've got some spare cash you can buy a 1Tb M2 NVME drive and add it yourself. You can pick one up on amazon for around £100 - 120
