Joined up yesterday and have already had some good advice about security systems.

Experienced a few problems however re. getting new messages away and on logging out to retry ERROR 502 warning came up telling me that there was a "Host" error. Hopefully, being in this Forum might be the very place to torpedo problems like this.

Well. on 2 or 3 occasions I have written a new thread or replied to a thread and although logged in My transmission has been refused . To quote …"you are not allowed to do this". On logging out and in again I have had some success.

But on 3 occasions a page entitled ERROR 502 has appeared and a "Bad Gateway" warning. with the added caveat that there is a Host error. And that is all I can tell you.

A bit more about the problem....the ERROR 502 comes up on turning off the forum website, which happened again a few minutes ago. I thought this was perhaps something unrelated to the Forum but the warning about a Host error is clearly identified by the underlying web address for www.pcspecialist.co.uk.

I have had a similar experience when posting, it seems that the system has a shortish timeout before automatically logging you out. I found its safest to copy your post (Ctrl C) just before posting in case you get logged out.

I got the 502 earlier with the message if I recall being delivered by cloudflare - but only on certain topics here. Not sure why/how but it seems ok now and for the last couple of hours or so

Welcome to the forums, by the way, Rothers :)
