Thanks so much for a fast reply. Sorry I didn’t add this information to my post. I would say £1900 is my budget I will only be using this system for gaming the screen will be a 1080p 144hz cause I want to maximise 144fps. Or should I go for this other build?

Thanks so much for a fast reply. Sorry I didn’t add this information to my post. I would say £1900 is my budget I will only be using this system for gaming the screen will be a 1080p 144hz cause I want to maximise 144fps.

There aren't any modern GPU's that support 1080p, they're too powerful, 1080p is really a dead resolution, especially at 144Hz, I'd strongly recommend upgrading your monitor to 1440p 144Hz which would make use of a modern system.

thanks spider I think I’ll do that then go 1440p cause I am upgrading to a new pc so might aswell upgrade the monitor. What build would you recommend the 1st or 2nd build I put in the posts ?

I wouldn’t recommend either, an AMD build would be far more powerful and more futureproofing for the same budget.

For 1440p gaming a 3060ti is a more suitable pick, the 3070 if you like having all the settings cranked up to ultra.

If you could let us know your budget and post your config link we can spec you out a 1440p gaming build that gives you the most bang for your buck.

You don't need the 3080 for 1440p gaming, it's overpowered plus you'll be waiting for months.

The 3070 is more than powerful enough.

Hi all I have ordered my pc and changed the case from NZXT 511 too Corsair 220t just worrying now if I have made the right decision will the rtx3080 fit in this case ? Just need some reassurance it will cause I don’t want it to put my build behind any longer. Many thanks

You really need to make a change to your storage, you want to use M.2, it’s much faster

Drop Arctic paste, the H100i comes with premium thermal paste applied.
Get a 850W Rm PSU
Switch the SSD out for a 1TB HDD and get a 500gb 980 pro if you have the budget for it, a 970 if not.
3080 will fit though, config wouldn’t have let you put it in otherwise.
