I presume you've taken off side panel and removed the foam insert that was put in for transport? (And yes, people have skipped this step and wondered why they have a rattling noise.....).

Sounds like something is rubbing on a fan, check case and GPU fans and make sure no loose cables are close to blades.

As this is an intermittent noise I doubt its a cable rubbing on a fan?

What foam inserts are you talking about? I don't see any? See attached photos pls

Check the GPU, make sure the support bracket hasn't shifted and touching one of the fans:

Looks like you're removed the foam insert :)

Thanks for the help and taking the time to reply. I've decided to return it for a refund.

For £2000+ its more trouble than its worth and I don't want to be fiddling about with a brand new PC myself, as it may void the warranty.

As the saying goes you only get one chance to create a good first impression, and sadly my first (and it'll be my last) impression of PC Specialist has not been a good one.

Thanks Again.

Obviously that's your choice to make, and yes it's a lot of money so you expect a quality product.

My guess from the pics is that the support arm looks to be bent inwards a bit, which might bring the support in contact with GPU fans. The GPU fans generally are not running all the time, which might explain the intermittent nature of the noise.

Thanks, that makes a lot of sense as the noise doesn't kick in for a while when first switched on. Once it's been on for 30+ mins approx, the rattling kicks in every starts 5-10 minutes or so.

Agreed the GPU support arm doesnt look right, might be the angle of the photo but the GPU looks to have dropped, its just been knocked in transit, 2 minute job to fix, hardly worth returning it, but thats just IMHO

thanks, I can confirm the rattling is when the GPU fans spin up, once they get to around 1200+ RPM it starts making a racket - how does I adjust that arm please?

Bend it, brute force. ;)

You might be able to slide the vertical part by loosening the bolt and moving it up and down the arm. I suspect that's the part that's touching the fans, but take the side panel off and look closely to confirm.

Thanks for the advice guys. The gpu support arm was hardly offering any support to the gpu so I think once the fans spun up, the noise was the gpu vibrating against the arm. I managed to adjust the arm & it seems OK now 👍👍👍
