Depends on what you are using it for?

If Thunderbolt is an absolute must, then that fanless PC won't work as it has no Thunderbolt....I could be wrong but I believe Thunderbolt is only available on laptops here
It says it had thunderbolt in the spec. Is that right?

Oh ok I understand.

Are fanless pc reliable or should i just go for a normal mini pc. I just don't want something, whether it be a laptop, desktop, mini pc etc.., to loud and whirring all the tome. That's why i was considering a fanless pc.

Not sure what to do now so some advice on this would really help me with my next purchase.

Thanks

@SpyderTracks I am right that Thunderbolt is only available on laptops from PCS right? That none of the PCI-E cards have it and that the OP would need to source one elsewhere? Or have I got completely confused again? Sorry...just wanted to make sure I am not providing erroneous information again
Thunderbolt is an Intel technology so only available on intel laptops and motherboards. But on desktop it’s quite rare and is usually an additional card.

Ok, so thunderbolt aside, are fanless pcs capable of being used mostly for home office type duties but on a daily basis for 8 - 10 hours?

Yes general web surfing etc.. plus i sometimes use Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, maybe 3 - 4 hours a week.

Is that ok?

Right, so i'm thinking my best bet is to look at a new laptop then.

That way i can incorporate the Thunderbolt option i want.

I currently have the 14" Ultranote and am quite happy with that screen size but would go to the 15.6" if needs be.

Again for my top end budget of £1,000 & my spec (stated above) which model would you recommend?
