Hi there,
Welcome to the forum!

Now my first question is fairly blunt, but simply, why do you want to switch over to a PC just to play one game, which is available on console?

A Series X is a very powerful piece of hardware for its price point, you are looking at a at least £1700 to get a comparable gaming PC.

The build you've specced out has some very old components and is fairly unbalanced, I wouldn't recommend ordering it in that state.

If you could please explain a bit more of your reasoning why you want to switch to PC that would be grand, because from the information you've shared I'm genuinely baffled why you're going down this route!

Then we can try and spec something a little more appropriate for you.

HI
appreciate you coming back to me so quick
i got series X on launch day its a cracking bit of kit, i only play DayZ no other game, i didn't game until about 2/3 years ago when i stumbled across DayZ on YouTube and bought a Xbox to give it a go, i now have a really popular server on Xbox but the DayZ mods and maps appeal to me a lot more, DayZ on console will never get to to the level PC is at with DayZ expansion etc. so that's the main reason to move over

i don't need it to be the best gaming rig, i don't stream or anything like that, i just want to be able to hold my own

the PC i looked at was in there pre build section, i am happy to spend about £1300

cheers

For £1300 you can get a pretty sturdy 1080p gaming rig. You can go cheaper than this, but I can’t endorse speccing a throwaway rig.
This will be ample for your current requirements, while also being well balanced and having potential for upgrades if your needs change down the line.

I also switched away from the 3060 because AMD are the better value pick at 1080p. The 3060 is £130 more than the 6600 and while it beats out the AMD card in productivity you’re looking at at most 5-10% extra performance. If you’re looking for maximal performance you can step up to the 6600xt, which beats the 3060 for gaming performance while being cheaper. Substituting the 6600xt into my build above puts you at £1351, which is £1 than you seem happy to spend and will give you a more well rounded build.
