For laptop ordered without OS installed, the first thing you will see when you turn it on is always the message that there is no boot media. Unless, you have plugged in a bootable USB drive to install your OS. You may be just looking for the drive at the wrong place in the BIOS settings. So, did you try just using a bootable Windows 10 installation USB drive (or whatever OS you'd like to use), plug it in one of the USB port, then turn on the laptop, and see if it boots to the USB drive? If it does, you can then try to install an OS. If there is no storage media detected, you wouldn't see any listed (except the USB drive itself) as you are about to proceed with the installation of your OS, but you should still be able to boot into the USB drive installation media no matter what. If indeed there is no storage detected to install your OS, then you probably should open the laptop up and reseat the M.2 SSD. Otherwise, send it back for repair if you are not comfortable with doing that.

This isn't actually correct, a system ordered without OS will have a test windows installed on it. You can't use it and have to install the OS from scratch, but it should boot into windows as normal on first boot.

If you go into the boot order in the BIOS, does it show windows boot manager as an option? That needs to be set as the first option.

Is this a brand new system or have you had it working previously?

I've just been looking over your previous threads, and yes, you have had this for some time.

In that case, it does sound like the drive may have failed unfortunately, as @jeffb0918 says, you'll need to return that, and PCS should be able to ship you a replacement drive for next day delivery.

You can do this in your online account, just log in, go to request an RMA, then in the order, go to return a component and select the M2 drive:

Many thanks to everyone. I do believe the drive has failed as I tried installing windows and no drives are being shown. So weird why it failed but oh well. Will contact pc specialist as I have the 1 year collect and return. Just hope they can get it sorted soon as possible as I need it for work.

Thanks again people, much appreciated for the advice
