I used to be able to get sound on my monitor through the HDMI port but this no longer seems to work. The monitor sound is fine when I connect a laptop to the monitor via the HDMI port, and I can get sound from the desktop when using the headphone port on the desktop. I am running Ubuntu 20.04.4 LTS. In Settings the only sound options I see is 'Digital Output (S/PDIF) - Starship/Matisse HD Audio Controller' previously I think there was an HDMI option.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can get my HDMI sound back?
