Godlike
Looks like you just chose max of everything.

I would suggest if you want to save a little bit, remove firewire unless you really need it, and remove the SSD cache drive as you already have a SSD as your primary drive.
Also unless it is absolutely required drop the ram to 16gb, I have had 16gb for over nearly 2years on this machine and not even used over 60% yet, and I dedicate 2gb to my minecraft server as well.

Was contemplating partly

I was contemplating the same partly as I later spec'd the cache ssd and noticed it was slower then the sad I am using. Originally I was going to raid 0 2 of the 480's but cash flow issues prevented me.

On the FireWire I don't think I could take it off, probably built into mobo. On the ram, I need the 32gb as I intend to run multiple vm's on it and my 6core amd 16gb desktop just about copes when you get to about 4vm's depending on ram allocation etc. So I am hoping with hyper threading 4 vm's will run quite smoothly as well as leave enough oomph for me to do my day job as a data analyst :) I may have to be happy with 3. Some enterprise software has min specs so some vm's will be hungrier than others.

I am weary to change it, it will probably make my order take longer so will just dump the cache drive in time. I put the chassis in for another 2nd drive to implement later.

Thanks for the reply though, please vote on the poll :)

If you just ordered today then taking things out won't delay it at all, I changed my graphics card on my order after 7 working days and it caused no issues.

After 7 days I will be getting ready to call to ask where the heck it is lol :sailor:

My build is at 6 working days and is still in processing so i think they may have a bit of a backlog at the moment sadly.
