Optimus II HDMI fail

Hi

I've used my laptop many times with my external monitor via the HDMI but today I just tried it and nothing appears on the monitor and the Intel graphics control panel doesn't show any other display device to output to. I tried 3 different HDMI cables with the same result. Does this mean my HDMI output is dead or could there be some other reason? I just re-installed the nVidia drivers, checking the clean install box but this hasn't changed anything. Thank goodness for the VGA port.

i'd give pcs a bell mate, are you still within warranty?

Could be an issue with the HDMI port on your monitor.To confirm or eliminate that try the monitor on another PC if possible,or try another monitor with an HDMI port on the laptop.
