Had some time to try it out today (14/12/11) so here's my initial review, hoping to update it with game performance etc at a later date.

Firstly, the chassis is very sturdy and the laptop is surprisingly light. The screen is also fantastic, picture is brilliant. Steam chat windows and the like are a little hard to read though because of the high resolution, can anyone suggest anything for this?
Didn't have the best of starts, laptop shut itself off after a bit of internet browsing. Installed all the drivers off the disc since so hoping I won't have that problem.
The keyboard is good, comfortable to use. The touchpad has this textured surface which will take a bit of getting used to but it seems ok. Speakers aren't that good, quality is fine but they're a little on the quiet side. When using earphones the volume still seems a bit low, would like to know if anyone can comment on this.

So I just tried some gaming, the 555m is a good card. Metro runs on High (Not Very High) at 720p on DX9, Normal on DX11 (Thought I can't see any difference)
Portal 2 doesn't drop a frame maxed out, capped at 60fps.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R also runs on high with dynamic lighting plus the excellent complete mod.
All in all, very pleased. The cooling system is also fantastic, the GPU was the hottest component after an hour of metro at 64C (Speedfan). I an using the laptop on a tray with a Zalman cooler which is no doubt helping it.

My resolution is 1920 x 1200, so writing can be very small also. I went into Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization > Display

From there, I selected "Medium - 125%" as my font size.
