Optimus V upgradability

Am looking to buy a gaming laptop and was initially looking to get a 2nd hand dell laptop or something until seeing the Optimus V. Just wondering whether maybe 2 or 3 years down the line it would be possible to upgrade any of the parts in the laptop - GPU or CPU? Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. I'm new to buying a gaming laptop so apologies if this sounds dense but are there are laptops sold on pc specialist that do have GPU's that can be upgraded?

As Keynes states the Skyfire and Vortex Chassis are the only ones that PCS sell which offer MXM slots for the GPU's.

Bare in mind that upgrading a GPU on a laptop; 1) Costs a pretty penny - 780m's are ~ £600+ on the bay, 2) Is not quite as straight forward as upgrading a GPU on a desktop (bios flash, heatsink modification / replacement, vendor specific alterations etc).

Quite often the sockets change, so 2-3 years down the line you'd only be able to "upgrade" to the same years or the following years cards - which as mentioned above aren't cheap even second hand. Anything newer than that you would propbably need to get a newer laptop to get a newer motherboard with a newer socket, you might as well get the best you can afford at the time and then start saving for the next one.
