Overtime it will. Just like a flash drive Regular use it would become outdated 10 times over before breaking but...with this use, could end up dieing way sooner
RAM is different from flash, though. Do you have anything to back up the claim that it wears out? I found lots of people saying the opposite in various forums but I don't trust them either.
Also, I don't think what I suggested is necessarily much more use than usual. It just seems like it because you concentrate on mounting files in RAM, but every time you run a program it gets loaded to RAM anyway...
Its just logic, nothing lasts forever, the more you use something, the smaller its lifespan becomes. When you mount files to RAM, not everything is mounted, similarly in a game. With a RAM drive everything is mounted sp obviously its subject to greater wear and tear. This may not kill the RAM within the day, but it's obviously going to wear it out faster than regular use. Granted it has no mechanical parts, but thats no excuse.
Your assumption that RAM wears out with use is simply unjustified. On my understanding of how RAM works, I don't think there would be any significant difference between "high use" and "normal use" on the lifetime. Like maybe it turns it from 10 years to 9 years and 349 days.
