Ordered a PC on the 1st of September, still not here and going to university on Sat

I'm really worried that my desktop, order number: 351679 won't be here in time, can anyone confirm it'll be here before or on saturday morning, as I was informed it would take 8-12 days from my purchase to arrive and it's still in quality control, and has been there since thursday or friday.

Hi,

If the PC is in quality control it is at the last stage, as mentioned a few times on the forums there is a big increase in orders recently and the lead times are slightly longer than usual.
If you need a almost definite answer your best bet is to ring their sales line tomorrow and find out, as the forums is not the official support medium.

I am sure with it being in quality control it wont take much longer, so just be patient

Yes but I can't afford to take the risk, as I'm moving from Newcastle to London, so it's hard for me to get my desktop if it's delivered to the wrong place. I've tried ringing the support all day, no one picks up.

All i can say is try again tomorrow, or maybe a nice kind PCS staff member will check here tonight and either let you know or give you a call back tomorrow or something, other than that i am afraid i am out of help.

EDIT: Maybe they or yourself could change the delivery address if it falls past moving day?

I could but I don't see why It should take more than 25 days.. and I won't have my new address until Monday when I move into the halls of residence.

It doesn't take 25days.
You ordered on the 1st... That's 14 working days from the quoted 8-12 days lead time.
And as i have said they are very busy and lead times have been shifted a bit due to this and new times can be found all over the forums.

But as you have said your PC is in quality control, i do not see why it will take more than a couple days to despatch from there. Hopefully a PCS staff member will browse the forums shortly and advise you accordingly.

Your pc went into quality control today which means it is burning in overnight. All being well, although there are never any guarantees your pc should be dispatched tomorrow. Keep a look out for the dispatch text. The phones have been busy today but the average wait was only a few minutes. This page will allow you to see how busy the phones are before calling in future.

Due to the current rush of orders each stage in production and testing has a significant queue. If as maestro suggests the machine is now in our burn in rooms then it will not e long before dispatch.
