Overall really pleased

Really pleased overall with my new laptop. I love that I was able to get almost double the spec for the same money compared to an off the shelf laptop. The build time and delivery was within their specified time.
The service from PC Specialist overall has been good, apart from long wait times on the few occasions I've had to call. The OS had been installed on the wrong (slower) hard drive to what we had specified when ordering. Luckily my son knew what to do and was able to recognise this had happened. I would have been clueless about why I had such a slow laptop had this not been noticed by him.
But overall, pleased so far with it.

Glad you’re happy. That’s odd that they installed to the wrong drive but very pleased your son was able to correct it for you.

They installed Windows to the HDD? You're sure you specified it was to go on the SSD when you ordered?

If you did (specify the SSD) then I'd complain to PCS. They need to know when their builders foul up so that they can prevent it from happening again.

No all customers have a geeky son to fix it. :)

Yes definitely specified it for SSD, we checked back on my order before we contacted them. They agreed it was an error.
It's true, I'm lucky to have on hand tech support! :D
