ok I've got my AMD Athlon 7850 Dual Core 2.8Ghz over-clocked to 3210.1 Mhz.
Now not sure if this is ok or not.

I will be keeping an eye on it for now.
But what kind of cpu temp do I need to look out for to be worried of problems from over clocking?

And dose anyone know of a good free mointing tool to help me keep an eye on the cpu speed and heat.

Below is my system build, - the extra hdd and card reader.

Processor (CPU) AMD ATHLON™ 64 X2 7850+ (2.8GHz) BLACK EDITION (Socket AM2+)

So am I going to be experiencing problems or is my heat sink and fan ok for dealing with this?

ok it crashed at that speed so got it down to 3.054Ghz and seen a moble cpu been over clocked to 18.6Ghz

Anyway going to keep an eye on this.

it was a lot easier on the ASUS motherboard as it had over-clock mode.
Giving me 3% 5% and 7% plus some other setting to allow me to fine tune to the desired speed.

Thanks for the link, I can keep an eye on the temp now.
Its reading about 21-22C but that's because the CPU is ideal right about now.

well it seem stable so I over clocked it again this time to 3.103Ghz and this also seems to be stable ran a game that's CPU intensive for 1 hour and the CPU never went past 40C

The real test of an overclock is Prime95, if it can prime for 2-3 hours, its stable. Pretty much.

My usual overclock.net forum answer : Crank it up and pile to volts in there

My PC Specialist Head forum answer : Keep an eye on those temps and dont go crackers

Thermal limit is 62 before it cuts out anything around 58 under full prime load is ok
