PC crashes on boot

Hi, my PC crashes everytime, just after the password stage.

If I do the following, it boots and runs OK .....

Enter Safe Mode at start up

Go into msconfig

Click the "sevices" tab

Uncheck "Application Virtualization Services"

Reboot.

However, now my HP wireless printer will not communicate with the PC, even using the USB lead.

Looking foreword to any answers.

I'd probably do a full windows re-installation. A bit of a pain, but i'd imagine it will sort the issue out.
