I'm helping my friend spec a PC for recording music and general office, homework, internet use. He doesn't want to game on it, but the option to add this later would be nice.
I wanted a modular PSU, the lowest of which is 650W - this should be plenty for adding a graphics card should he choose to. I don't know if the case and motherboard are up to it - this is a lesser requirement, though, and may never happen.
He needs a monitor - I've added the iiyama one here - any comments on this. It looks pretty good and a reasonable price.
I put 1x8GB RAM in so it is easy to add more later. I have 16GB in my recording PC and never go much over 4GB, so to keep the price down, I've stuck with that for now.
Anyway, if anyone has any suggestions, we'd much appreciate it. Thanks!
