PC Monitor Horizontal Lines

Hi All

My PC monitor has started to display two horizontal lines. I've attached a screenshot as an example. It tends to only be visible with medium dark colours like grey. It's not visible with black or white images. I've done the usual tests, different cable and different PC, so I know it's definitely the monitor. Anyone else had any other similar issues like this and know if this is repairable.

The monitor is a Samsung C27F390 27" Curved Monitor.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If it's definitely the monitor, the screenshot won't show it up, since the screenshot captures what the PC is sending to the monitor rather than what you see on the screen with your eyes.

It does seem to be the monitor rather than, say, the GPU that's at fault though as I can't see anything but grey on that screenshot. And you've checked cables and tried with another PC already.

Where did you buy the monitor? From PC Specialist? I'd check to see if it's still under warranty and if so see about getting it replaced.

Same here, just looks like plain old grey to me.
And unfortunately nowadays things like monitors and similar are just not repairable at all, they just need to be replaced.

Agree with my esteemed members. Just grey and yeah - screens have bonded layers and bonded flat cabling that is tricky to impossible to replace even with specialist repair gear.
