Pc reset and bios

If I reset the pc using the windows reset option, does this reset any changes I've saved in the bios, for example any fan profiles / xmp etc.
Or is that left as is and it's just the desktop that's returns to the factory state?

Neither. A Windows Reset will not change any BIOS settings, but neither will it restore Windows to the factory state. It reuses existing drivers for example (and they are the single biggest cause of problems). The only way to restore it to factory state is to reinstall from freshly downloaded bootable media.

OK, that's just what I wanted to know.
There's nothing wrong with my old pc, I'm giving it to my brother when my new one arrives and all I wanted to do is reset it for him but leave all the bios settings as they are.
