PC Screen turns random colours and freezes

Hi, i'm not sure what the problem is but after I updated my graphics card drivers a few months ago my PC has been randomly freezing and then showing these random colours (pic below). When i restart my PC the screen just turns black and i have to restart it like 10 times for it to finally boot up. I tried resetting my graphics card and reinstalling its drivers and it worked for a few days then it started happening again. Any advice on how to fix this? Do i need to buy a new gpu?

Try using DDU to remove the drivers, and perform a clean install of the latest drivers downloaded direct from the Nvidia or AMD website (depending on what GPU you have)

Hey i did that and it only worked for a few days then it started happening again. Not sure what to do :/

I have a Radeon 7870 Ghz Edition GPU btw

Yeah I done that like last month and it worked for a bit, got happy and started playing games then it happened again. It's crazy. I'll try do it again though

Update: Just done the DDU method and it happened again. Really don't know what to do

I suggest you phone PCS, it's looking like a graphics card issue to me now....
