PC Stuck On Awaiting Dispatch Since The 16th

Hi folks,

Resorting to making this forum post as PCSpecialist support is not really being helpful.

My PC went into "awaiting dispatch" status since 16/02 (Tuesday), 11:32 AM. From what I understand it should be on "awaiting dispatch" for no more than 1 day or a couple days at best. From what I can tell from reading the forums, most peoples PC's goes into "dispatch" either same day if before 3pm, or next day. And of course on Monday if the status changed on Friday or over the weekends.

I contacted PCS via webchat and they told me that they are unsure where the PC is and will be looking into it and getting back to me. It has now been a further couple of days and no one has gotten back to me.

The PC has passed build, testing and QC'ing, timeline posted below.

Production Dates
Processed Date22-01-2021
Pre-Production Date29-01-2021
Build Date12-02-2021
Test Date12-02-2021
Awaiting Dispatch Date16-02-2021

Built ByA. Hassan
Tested ByA. Teodorczuk
QC'd ByM. Fuller

On chat they suggest it may still be in testing until I mentioned how would it have passed QC'ing if it was still in testing. For delivery I have chosen the TIMED DELIVERY TO UK MAINLAND - MON-FRI (BEFORE 2PM) option.

I have a horrible feeling that the PC is lost or misplaced somewhere. Can anyone provide any insight into what may have happened? My order does not contain any extra parts other than the PC so that would eliminate the need to wait for other parts to come in stock before they can ship it since the PC (according to PCS) is already built.

Thank you.

There's not a lot we can help you with as only PCS will know/be able to find out.

I can only think its not been collected by DPD/Fedex yet.

Or something came up during QC but it was logged as awaiting dispatch by mistake and is back in testing.

All I can add is my last order, about a month ago was awaiting dispatch four days and it was DPD issue. Collected later than normal from PCS then stuck at a depot before being scanned for next stage of delivery process.

Unfortunately these things are happening in the current crisis. I certainly think you should not have had to wait this long but at the moment it is not a major worry and hopefully will be on the move soon.

Thst said, I would check again Monday, if you call at 09:00 when they open that is often the best time to get through.

Did you add a "Dispatch after" date on your order at all? I did that and for some reason my order was blocked from dispatch even after that date.

Thanks all for the reply. I will contact them again on Monday and see if there are any updates.

No I did not add a dispatch after date as I needed the PC as soon as possible due to my current one dying 😔

I wouldn't be surprised if it was this...the schedule is showing that the system was in the testing phase for 4 days which is a long time even these days...assuming it's not a Liquid Series build of course.

I thought the same until I realised when it moved into testing it was a Friday so I'm assuming they didn't work on it over the weekend and did the testing and QC'ing on Monday - Tuesday, which puts it at a more reasonable timeframe for testing.

Update: Contacted them again via webchat (for the 3rd time!) and again, they don't have an update for me yet. They don't really seem to know where it is or which department has it. 😔

Sorry to hear about this, could you PM me your order number and I will look into it?

He probably won't tell you this himself but I happen to know that @moosEh is insanely busy with his 'proper' job at PCS - as is everyone else there I'd imagine. The forum administrator job is in addition to everything else has has on his plate, that's why he's here so rarely.

@SpyderTracks or @ubuysa Any chance one of you could escalate this please? Being told "no clue where your computer is" is not at all acceptable to me...frankly if I got told that, I'd just say "fine, give me my money back then". I would tag Moose but haven't seen him on here recently. Thanks

Thank you, I really appreciate it since it feels like I'm just going round in circles and no one knows what's going on. Super stressful. And also as I mentioned before, I don't actually have a working machine at the moment since my PC died, so I've been patiently waiting a month for this one to be delivered, only for it to be stuck on the final stage.

Sorry to hear about this, could you PM me your order number and I will look into it?

Thanks for the reply! Appreciate it. PM'd you my order number.

Update: Aaaaand.. echoing the point made above by Nursemorph, Moose has worked his magic and done it! He escalated the issue to management and finally managed to get the PC located/moving. As a result of this, I have now received an email letting me know the PC has been dispatched!

Still no word from the other PCS representatives that I spoke to who said they would update me via email. I'm not sure if we'll ever know what happened, where the system was all this time and why it was delayed in awaiting dispatch for this long.

Big big shout out to everyone who helped out, @Nursemorph, @Resistance100, @Stephen M, @ActuallyDenz and of course Moose. Much love <3

Just a pointer, if you're in the UK, worth installing the DPD app, gives you live tracking and options to delay or reschedule delivery, plus rating your driver at the end, very good app.
