Running at 35-40oc in when idle, is this normal ? Just out of intrest...

Those temps look good to me. It would be better to run prime95 to see what your 'under load' temps are however. This would give a better indication if anything was amiss.

how longs it run for im seeing many numbers and some kind of scan ... dont seam to stop :S

You can run it for 5 minutes, 1 hour, 24 hours :)
how are you monitoring your temperatures? Just check the temps on the CPU , I'd just run it for 5-10 minutes and record the highest temps.

Just remember that prime95 is for stress testing, gaming or other application would not push your cpu that much.

did you take that screen shot during the test or after?

ideally, you want to look at the temps, to see how high they go.

can it harm my pc leaving it to see how high the temps will go ?

It shouldn't, looking at the information you are displaying it shows only 100% in 1 core. When I run the test all my cores are 100% and temperatures are close to each other.
