So today my new Desktop PC arrived. Sadly when I had unpacked it and got it ready for start up i plugged in my HDMI cable but it would not connect. So i though that the graphics card must be set to output DVI-D but my monitor has no DVI ports so I went out and bought a DVI to HDMI converter. When i got home and set it up my monitor could pick up the pc but from first sight i knew something was wrong. There were blues lines all over the PC specialist logo and it then gave me the options to load windows normally or three different variations of safe mode (with command prompt ect.) If i chose any of the safe modes it saying something along the lines of "Set up is preparing you computer for first use" and then an error pops up telling me i need to reset if i reset the process starts over. If I start it in normal it starts to load windows (Baring in mind throughout all of these there is a blue line down the middle if my screen) and the goes black and loads a bad resolution screen with loads of blue squares in a sort of diagonal pattern then loads a blue error screen with something a long the lines of "STOP:0x00000116" This was all I was able to read sadly. After that it then goes back to the beginning.
