PCS states ? new Chassis on its way and 970m not available.

Hi,
Spoke to PCS yesterday and the 970m (3gb or 6gb) won't be in stock until 27/9/15 and the person I spoke to also advised me that a new chassis may be available at the same time. Is this likely to be Skylake? Not very experienced in PC buying so wondering if this is likely.

The new chassis will almost certainly support skylake so if you can wait another 3 weeks it will certainly be worth it. Not so much in terms of pure performance but much better battery life.

I spoke to an online sales rep the other day as I have a four week outstanding order for a Defiance 15.6" with the 980M. Apparently it was built and ready to test, but the chassis was damaged/faulty, and by that point they had none in stock left to replace.

The sales rep informed me that at least as far as the Defiance is concerned, the new stock arriving on September 27th is going to be only Skylake. Which means now I have to probably pay extra and potentially even wait longer.

Any affected Defiance or Optimus systems which we are not able to be fulfilled will be contacted with the Options.

Sadly at this stage we do not have all of the details yet due to NDA agreements.

Would you be able to at least confirm whether they are on schedule for prompt arrival around the 27th?

I doubt it will be the 27th as its a Sunday but I am sure we will the chassis should be with us in a prompt timescale.
