Placed an order a month ago (22 Aug), it's still in pre-production. Is this normal?

I was kind of assuming that I'd have it well before when my week off starts (this coming Friday).

From what I can tell none of the components I picked are out of stock.

So, is this normal? And how much longer should I expect to wait?

I'm not complaining btw, I'm just... curious, and a bit gutted that I probably wont have my new PC to play with on my week off. Sadge

How many working days are you in, most builds at the moment are going into build at about 22 working days, just worked it out to about 20, so it could be about midweek so you could possibly have by friday

From when I ordered, today would be working day 20 (taking into account August bank holiday), day 21 if they work on bank hols.

12 working days i have been waiting (17 days total) placed order on Sept 3rd. If i had known it would of taken this long i would not have bothered. There may be staff shortages due to Covid and it's created a backlog.

It's a custom PC, you haven't ordered some off the shelf piece of rubbish, there's a reason why there's a queue and that's because most people who know anything about computers build their own or get custom built because of the value it provides as well as substantially more power.

Everyone has the same idea, you just need to appreciate you're in a queue like everyone.

Unless it goes out of stock by the time it's in build.

We've heard rumours that they don't allocate stock until it goes into build, I don't know how true that is as haven't had any confirmation.

I rebuilt my PC like I'm sure everyone has, and my cooler is now out of stock 21 working days later, so I was just curious.

It's a part I'm willing to change too.

I feel your pain TC we are at similar stages.

I ordered 23/8 and today is Pre-production 20 WD.
Orders seem to be going into Build around 22 WD. So hopefully you'll get it by Friday but most likely Monday or Tuesday next week IMHO.

I ordered 5 days before you (17 Aug) and got mine on 18 September. If it's a normal-style queue, you might expect to be getting yours towards the end of this week.

I also placed mine on the 17th August, and it went into production Friday, then testing Friday, and QS Monday. It went into Awaiting dispatch 10:57 yesterday 20th, and has just sat there in waiting dispatch since then :( Am hoping that changes today, and I may get it tomorrow.
(I am also living in a dream world that it was shipped yesterday, as it arrived waiting dispatch 4 hrs before the daily cut off, but PCS just forgot to update it to shipped lol)

I'm on the 6th working day and its been in pre-production for a few days as well. Hoping it's not going to take more than another 2 weeks at most I really need this for my uni work lol

I'm at 20 days now, stuck in pre-production. I'm normally pretty patient but seeing no updates for some time is causing me some concern now. I would hope/expect that if there is a real problem, then something would be said. I'm hoping to be all sorted before BF 2042 comes out. Thanks for the timeline indicator, @SpyderTracks .
