Have had my pc for a few months now and absolutely love it, after a problem with my Plusnet router and slow browsing, which was sorted out by changing the DNS details, with lots of fantastic help on this forum. There has always been a bone of contention with the wi fi signal on my router ( BT Open-reach modem and Plusnet Technicolour router ). its just not very strong. I have just bought a new Plusnet One router from Ebay at £20 delivered, my daughter has just had one and WI-Fi is excellent. Unfortunately i have just been looking into it a bit more and apparently the DNS is locked on this and cannot be changed, cant confirm this at present as not received said router yet. If this is so and i get the same slow browsing etc again it will be no use at all. Can anyone recommend a easy to set up, reasonable price alternative with good Wi-Fi, and option of changing DNS, dont mind if i still have to use BT Open-Reach modem.
