Upgrading GPUs in the octane is possible but not advisable. It is not cost effective and by the time you may wish to upgrade to the gtx 1080 it may have reached end of life which means sorting the GPU from a third party. Not sure if PCS will offer upgrades for laptops, it is something you would need to ask them directly,

Laptop GPU's aren't really upgradeable as there are a lot more things to consider than just swapping out the card:

1/. Cost - Laptop GPU's are very very expensive (roughly £1000 for a GTX1080)
2/. Compatibility - You have to get the card designed specifically for your chassis, not just any GTX1080 mxm card, they're all designed for the chassis (hence the high cost)
3/. Need BIOS update to support the new card (otherwise it's not recognised) - BIOS updates are done by the manufacturer or reseller (sometimes both). PCS don't support BIOS upgrades for GPU's and neither do Clevo which means the only route is a modded BIOS like the PremaMod BIOS. PremaMod works specifically for Clevo graphics upgrades and custom overclocking potential and they are excellent, BUT be warned that flashing a custom BIOS comes with severe risks to the system such as bricking your laptop if the flash goes wrong, bugs and virus's from illegitimate downloads. Any custom BIOS flash will invalidate your warranty also.

Because of this, we always come from the approach that laptop graphics upgrades are not feasible or cost efficient. Always go for the best card you can afford at the outset.
