Power Supply advice conflict

Just noticed (when I changed my RTX3080 pre-order to the 6800XT pre-order) that the system recommended I downgrade from my 750W PSU a 650W one as I'm only using 588W.

Now, I ignored this as it gives me a bit of headroom if I want to add/upgrade to more power-hungry components.

However, on the order page it advises I upgrade to an 850W PSU as I'm using 768W?

Well, I don't mind upgrading to an 850W PSU, and I've got a bit of credit from moving to Team Red earlier, but I know the 850W had/has more stocking issues than the 750W.

I've reported this to PCS for investigation.

There are a few other 850w PSU's in the configurator now, AX version and the ASUS one which is in stock. I think the AX Corsair one had new stock delayed so some should arrive soon.
Both are a bit more expensive than the RMx version though.

So, should I go straight to the 1600W Pro Titanium Digital Gold-Plated Swarowski Crystal Encrusted one to make sure I've got enough surplus to plug a kettle in too 🤪
